FAQs
What are implant retained dentures?
Designed to return form and function to a mouth with multiple missing teeth, just as traditional dentures do, implant retained dentures are instead held in place via implants. This makes them much more stable and comfortable to live with. They’re also easier to keep clean and take care of, much more natural looking, and can help maintain and promote the health of the jaw, as well as maintain the structure of the face.
What is the treatment journey like?
First, Dr Rohan will make sure you’re a suitable candidate for implants with a CBCT scan. There are no messy impressions here, thanks to digital imaging and technology, and you’ll be completely comfortable throughout the treatment journey. The implants will be implanted under local anaesthetic, so you won’t feel a thing, and there will be temporary dentures available to wear while you wait for the implants and jawbone to successfully fuse. Once this has happened, Dr Rohan will apply your prosthetic dentures. All in all, this treatment usually takes up to three months to conclude.
