When science meets art, the result is composite bonding.
This minimally-invasive cosmetic treatment is a cosmetic dentist’s best-kept secret when it comes to transforming smiles with little to no preparation of the tooth. In Dr Rohan’s skilled hands, composite bonding can take a smile to the next level in just one appointment.
Composite bonding can be used to treat:
Chipped teeth
Small cracks
Staining of the teeth
General wear and tear
To even out a smile
To produce a more uniform, photogenic finish
Composite bonding is also often used in conjunction with other treatments, either as a final flourish to Invisalign® or as part of a full smile makeover.
FAQs
What is composite bonding?
With composite bonding, a highly aesthetic and natural-looking composite resin is applied to the teeth and then sculpted into place by Dr Rohan. It can be applied to the edge for a more subtle change or to the whole front surface – known as composite veneers – to allow for a greater amount of change that can’t always be achieved with edge bonding. The overall appearance of the smile will be improved, leaving it looking more symmetrical and uniform as if the whole smile has been re-contoured.
How long does the treatment take?
This treatment requires great skill and artistry from the dentist, but for the patient, it couldn’t be easier – you’ll be in and out of the practice with a brand-new smile in just one appointment lasting a few hours.
Will the treatment be painful?
Because this treatment is minimally-invasive, the patient is comfortable throughout and there is no drilling or needles involved.
Can composite bonding be used on misaligned teeth?
Composite bonding can be used to address minor misalignment issues. For patients with more substantial misalignment, Dr Rohan usually recommends a course of Invisalign® to get the teeth into shape, before finishing off with composite bonding to get that selfie-worthy finish.
